BC Transit
The central bus exchange is a few minutes' walk from the hostel. A single fare is $3, and day passes are available if you're planning a big day out. The #70 bus runs to Swartz Bay ferry terminal if you're heading to the Gulf Islands or back to the mainland.
What to Do Around Victoria on a Budget
You don't need to spend much to have a good time here. Beacon Hill Park is free and massive — it runs right down to the ocean. Dallas Road along the waterfront is a great walk or bike ride. Fisherman's Wharf is worth the 20-minute walk from downtown for the floating homes alone (the fish and chips aren't bad either).
